For the women on my friends list, although the guys might appreciate it too:

I watched Oprah today.  My viewings of her show are pretty sporadic -- I think she needs to stay out of politics and my sister blames her for Dr. Phil.  :)

Today's show was very interesting, though.  Her guest was Gavin De Becker, author of The Gift of Fear, and the topic was how women should trust their natural fear instincts.  I'd recommend watching the show if you can, but there were two specific things said that really made me pause and I wanted to share them.

1.  "In our culture, when a man says no, it's the end of the conversation.  When a woman says no, it's the beginning of a negotiation."

2.  "A man's worst fear is that a woman will laugh at him.  A woman's worst fear is that a man will kill her."

Thoughts?
